Meet Andi

With many years of experience in SNF/Post-Acute care, I have had a fulfilling and successful journey. However, there were times when the job felt lonely and frustrating and made me reflect on what I could have done better for my patients and the staff I led. I often wondered why nurses today seem disengaged and why we have seen a rise in "quiet quitting," where nurses only do the minimum required of their role and don't go above and beyond for their patients.

This disengagement impacts patient outcomes emotionally and physically of our most vulnerable population in post-acute care. Investing in nurses who have worked tirelessly through the pandemic and new nurses finding their way to make a difference despite the many hurdles they face is vital to fulfilling their promise and purpose.

I believe that nurses want their joy and purpose back. If not now, then when? If nurses are not collectively standing up to change for the sake of our patients, then who? I am excited to introduce you to NurseWise with Andi Clark. Together, we will listen to experiences, hopes, frustrations, aspirations, and the joys and pride of being a nurse. We will collaborate to present education and strategies for nurses with our hearts and souls, dedicating ourselves to the patients we serve.

The NurseWise Mission

I envision a world where nurses are not just caregivers but empowered professionals who can explore their passions and ask themselves the 'nurse's whys.' A world where they are appreciated for their hard work and dedication and provide transformative care for their patients. This is the world we should strive to create.

As we navigate through the ever-changing healthcare landscape, it is essential to remember the passion that drove us to become nurses in the first place.

Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare industry, and their hard work and dedication deserve to be celebrated every day, not just in times of crisis. I believe it is beneficial for nurses to reconnect with their initial motivations and reflect on their early experiences to reignite their passion for caregiving, such as their first patient and nursing instructor, who may have impacted them significantly. By revisiting these memories, nurses can reignite their passion for caregiving, inspire their colleagues and provide transformative patient care.

So, let us join hands and work towards creating a nursing environment that inspires us to explore our passions and provide exceptional care for our patients. Remember, we can make a difference no matter where we are in our nursing careers. With proper planning, bravery, and guidance, we can take any career path or direction. Join me on my mission to empower nurses and celebrate their hard work and dedication. Together, we can make a real difference in the world of nursing.
